			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.michigantrails.org">Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance</a> is excited to have Jim Sayers in Lansing this week for the Michigan Bicycle Summit!  Jim is Executive Director of Adventure Cycling Association, the largest bicycling non-profit in the U.S. with more than 44,000 members.  Adventure Cycling&#8217;s mission is to inspire people of all ages to travel by bicycle for fitness, fun and self-discovery.  Jim will give us an update at the Michigan Bicycle Summit on progress with the US bike rout<img class="alignright" title="Jim Sayers" src="http://www.lmb.org/images/stories/Bike_Summit/jim2.jpg" alt="jim2" width="120" height="132" />e system as well as other new initiatives underway, such as the Underground Railroad Bicycle Route, which includes our friends from Detroit!  Speaking of Detroit and the Underground Railroad Bicycle Route, Jim will also give a talk at the International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit at 111 E. The presentation portion will provide an overview of the project and its connection to similar projects in Detroit and lead to an open discussion on the feasibility of this effort and the opportunity for community member input, questions, and concerns.</p>
