It is about this time each year, after seeing the first cherry blossoms open up to the Detroit sunshine, when I get a bit antsy. It’s been too long since I’ve hit my maximum stride walking around the neighborhood with the sound of children playing in the neighborhood brightening up the atmosphere. more . . .

The trail finder map is EXACTLY what I have been looking for!!! Thanks for putting it together. I live in Rochester Hills and I have been hike/biking the trails around the area more and more. I do not know who or how the map is updated but there are trails near here that are not on the map. The area ‘Rochester-Utica State Recreation Area’ could use up dating. This is the area bordered by 22 Mile Rd, Hamlin Rd, Dequinder, and Ryan. Here there is a trail that follows the Clinton River. This trail also hooks into River Bends Park.
A word on the trails at River Bends Park. Some of the old ‘unofficial trails take you down range of the Shot Gun/Archery area. KEEP OUT signs need to be posted on these trails. Yes I have had shot gun pellets raining down on me as I discovered this trail! Who shoul I contact?
